From May 09 to 12, 2024, choirs and folklore groups with thousands of participants from throughout the world will be coming together again in Lindenholzhausen, the “smallest festival town in Germany”, where the eighth HARMONIE Festival is to take place.
In May 2017, more than 200 choirs and folklore groups took part in the seventh HARMONIE FESTIVAL in Lindenholzhausen. Around 6.000 participants represented 35 different nations and cultures. Patron of the HARMONIE FESTIVAL 2017 was the Prime Minister of the German Federal State of Hesse, Volker Bouffier.
Lindenholzhausen belongs to the city of Limburg/Lahn, which is considered one of the most attractive places in Germany with its picturesque old town and cathedral, founded more than 750 years ago. All members of the Male Choir “HARMONIE Lindenholzhausen” with friends and other helpers work on a honorary basis for the festival.
‚Olympic atmosphere at the HARMONIE FESTIVAL‘ – is how the ‚International Choral Bulletin‘ (ICB) titled its report on the HARMONIE FESTIVAL 2011.
With its cultural diversity, high artistic quality and a wide range of national and international choir and folklore competitions and events the forthcoming HARMONIE FESTIVAL will certainly reconfirm its outstanding reputation of a wonderful festival atmosphere and as one of the most outstanding music festivals in the world.
